August was a month of transitions, endings, new beginnings, grief, friendship and surprisingly full social calendar. The biggest transition was wrapping up my ERP work and finishing the engagement well. I don’t know exactly what my next major engagement will be, but August reminded me that opportunities can appear even while one chapter is coming to a close.
Outside of work, August also included loss of close family friend and reflecting on the people who have shaped my life. This family was the first that we had met when moving to Fresno 40+ years ago and this Uncle had always been nice and kind to me. It’s a reminder that relationships are something to invest in while we have the opportunity.
August felt like a month of closing one chapter while beginning to see glimpses of what may come next. I finished a major consulting engagement, experienced loss of someone important, continued my nonprofit work, explored new places and spent meaning time with friends and community.
