Today I had the CT-guided bone biopsy. Leiman came bright and early to pick me up at 6AM. We had good chat about Lunchclub. If anyone wants an invite, let me know. I’ve met some pretty amazing people there. We made it to Cedar’s right on time ~6:30AM. For biopsy, I changed into gowns and took one of the beds in the imaging prep area. I got another IV placed further up the forearm right as my normal alarm went off at 7:30am. The biopsy started late cause the anesthesiologist read the start time as 9am vs 8am 😉 Yes, I was waiting for awhile, but luckily I was able to grab my phone to turn off the alarm and keep myself entertained while waiting for the biopsy to begin. I was wheeled into the CT room where I learned all about the procedure, signed consent form and went into the CT machine. The CT room ceiling also had nice design: clouds with cherry blossoms, but this procedure required me to be on my stomach the whole time. I was given oxygen mask and sedated so I passed out pretty quickly. By the time I woke up, I was in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. Stacey kept tabs on me while I was recovering and took me back home when I was ready for release.
Pastor Yvonne, Eric and H. visited me in the afternoon with Starbucks 🙂 We had good time chatting and catching up. I was able to see H for a few moments after her nap. Praise God that I have not experienced any negative post-biopsy symptoms: nausea, excessive pain. I took a short nap after lunch, but that’s about it. The test results should be available by the end of next week.
It was good to see you and to meet your mom too! We will be praying for your results.
