Monthly Review: Apr 2026

April was a month of transition. Coming out of March, there was still a heaviness that lingered. The pace of life began to normalize, but not without moments of grief that surfaced unexpectedly—during walks, worship, and quiet parts of the day. It wasn’t as acute, but it was still present.

Work picked up quickly. Most of the month was centered around preparing for major 5/1 deadline. It was a focused stretch of execution, with early mornings and long days. By the end of the month, everything was in place to move forward. At the same time, new opportunities began to emerge. Conversations with potential clients and partnerships opened up, bringing both excitement and a need for discernment. There’s a growing awareness that not every opportunity should be taken, especially in a season where capacity matters.

Outside of work, life slowly filled back in. Time with friends, church, and small group continued to anchor the week. There were simple moments—meals, walks, gatherings—that reminded me of the importance of showing up, even when I didn’t feel particularly social. More often than not, I was glad that I did.

Physically, the month was uneven. A minor fall mid-month led to a few days of soreness, and there were small signals—fatigue, stomach discomfort—that required more attention. In response, I started focusing on basic habits again, like increasing daily hydration. Nothing drastic, just small adjustments to take better care of myself. This a reminder that life doesn’t slow down just because you’re in a difficult season. Work continues. People need support. Decisions still need to be made. The challenge has been learning how to move forward without ignoring what I’m still processing. If March was a month of loss, April was about learning how to keep going. Not fully back to normal, but no longer paused either.
