Medical Leave

I officially start medical leave this week and will be off work for the next 6 months. Last Monday I started anti-hormonal therapy with injection and infusion, which reduces ovarian estrogen levels and treats calcium levels for metastatic cancers respectively. Next week, I’ll start the targeted therapy pills that work best when estrogen levels are low. I’ll continue to have regular follow-up appointments every two weeks and periodic diagnostic exams to monitor the progress.
