Monthly Review: Feb 2026

February was a month of settling into rhythms again. After a slower start to the year, work accelerated with early morning meetings, testing cycles and Year-End Close. The pace required adjustments and paying more attention to rest, but by the end of the month things felt steady.

Adjusting to early meetings required shifting my overall schedule, meals and food. When you’re up for 6am meetings, “lunch break” is still the morning. I’ve been prepping quick & easy meals and having more breakfast foods on hand. I’ve been intentional with re-incorporating daily walks, including a Sunday afternoon stroll along the Venice Canals.

Workwise, God answers prayers and I’ve starting working with new client. Most of the month centered around ERP implementation work and observing business processes. While the pace was busy, I enjoyed getting back into detailed financial work and building structure reporting again. A small but meaningful decision I’ve had this month was not to bill for idle time while waiting on direction. I felt convicted to maintain integrity in how time is charged.

The theme for February was simple: show up, execute, and keep moving forward. It was a steady operator month. Work required focus and consistency. Social life was simple and grounded. The goal was less about chasing opportunities and more about showing up and doing the work in front of me. And sometimes that’s exactly the kind of month I need.
