Monthly Review: Jan 2026

January was a month of transition, care-giving, and finding a slower, steadier rhythm. The year began quietly, with small joys and new experiences — neighborhood walks, trying new spots, and even my first Waymo ride. I spent meaningful time at home cooking, watching movies, and hosting visiting friends and family, which brought moments of laughter and normalcy amid an otherwise intense season.

Much of the month revolved around showing up consistently for people I love, especially through practical care, shared meals, errands, and simply being present. There were moving days and a lot of back-and-forth between responsibilities, but also gratitude for community — friends who helped, checked in, cooked, and prayed. Church, support groups, and prayer nights continued to be anchors, reminding me I wasn’t carrying everything alone.

Workwise, January was quieter but still productive in important ways. I had ongoing meetings, explored new opportunities, supported clients, and continued building longer-term stability, even when momentum felt slow. Toward the end of the month, I allowed myself space to rest and decompress, trusting that rest was necessary, not wasted. By the final week, I felt ready to re-engage — returning to routines, evening walks, and posting new content again.

Overall, January asked for patience, flexibility, and grace. It wasn’t flashy, but it was faithful — marked by care, presence, and small steps forward, even on the days that felt heavy.
