Monthly Review: Oct 2025

October felt like one long exhale — a month of transitions, healing, and quiet gratitude. I started the month up in Fresno, wrapping up my development calls and reflecting on how family dynamics have shaped me. Coming back to L.A., I felt the shift from recovery to re-engagement — reconnecting with friends, reentering community life, and saying yes to new rhythms.

One of the biggest praises this month: my PET scan came back clean! That was such a moment of relief and awe. God’s faithfulness continues to show up in big and small ways. I also attended the Cedars Sinai Cancer Survivors Day Luncheon, which reminded me just how much grace there’s been through this whole journey.

Socially, October was full of connection. From meals with friends to coffee chats and church events, it felt like a month of being surrounded by community. I reconnected with childhood friend I haven’t spoken to in over 15 years.

Career-wise, I’ve been experimenting and exploring. I went to the Small Business Expo and have been applying for part-time retail work — a funny, humbling, and grounding experience. I’m also starting nonprofit work and dreaming about what future work could look like.

Spiritually, I’ve been meditating on what it means to wait well — to trust that God sustains and directs even when plans are blurry. This month, I’ve been learning to live simply, to celebrate health, and to enjoy quiet moments with Him again.
